Cody Lee Trusty

Cody Lee Trusty, age 23 of Middlebury, IN, died at 4:23 pm on Friday, November 18, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on March 28, 1999 in Mishawaka, IN to Jim and Marilene (Bontrager) Trusty.  Cody lived his entire life in the Northern Indiana area.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed Indian artifacts.  He loved art, especially drawing and tattoo art.  Cody was a tinkerer, he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together again. He was a hard worker and those who worked with him enjoyed his work ethic.  He is survived by his mother, Marilene Bontrager of Nappanee, IN; father, Jim Trusty of Elkhart, IN; 2 daughters, Kimberlee and Peyton; 7 siblings: Michael Ray Trusty, Katelyn (Kurt) DeGarmo, Michael James (Emily) McKee, Conner McKee, Keegan McKee, Alexa Willard, and Alex Trusty; Paternal grandparents, Deborah Bradbury and Randy (Sharon) Fisher; and maternal grandmother Mary Bontrager.  Cody was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eli Bontrager.  Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.  Funeral services will then begin at 6 pm Wednesday, with Pastor Jim Brown of Grace Community Church officiating.
