Cody is a great man. I will always be thankful to him for his great example to my son through scouting and he has made a lasting impression on my whole family. He kept his dignity and testimony of the Gospel to the end. He is a true hero of mine for the way he lived and his tremendous courage in death. After his funeral my son said to me, "No one ever really dies." And he's right. We'll miss you, Brother Ward. --Kevin Poynter

Dear Family- Cody was a very special person. I have heard stories through my father of Cody, Aunt Ida and Uncle John since I was a small child. They always seemed really close even though they were miles away. When my dad and I came to LV for Ida's funeral it was so great to see Dad and Cody talking about family and the look on their face for hours was priceless. You could see deep into their heart the love they had for their family. My dad is heartbroken as are we all for the loss of this special person. I am truly saddened for your loss to your family. He is with his parents and they will keep him safe until you see him again. Please let my dad, or myself know if there is anything you would like for us to do. Peter Osgood- Cathy Pecoraro

Diann- I was so shocked and sorry to read Cody's obituary today. I didn't know him well but I know how much you loved him and how very close you two were (are). I know your family and friends will give you the strength you need now and I wish you peace from the many happy memories no one can take away.

On July 13th we lost the best musician and definitely one of the best humans I personally knew very well. Mr. Cody Ward will be playing his fiddle elsewhere now but I am sure it will be with the same ferver and skill as always. Thank you for all the fine music and memories.

Take care Codefiddle.
