Condolences to the entire Smalley Emens families. I have been buying navy beans from Coe for about 20 years, in fact I used to get them from his Mom, Fern Smalley Emens - then in 2000 my brother and I started doing family history and discovered Coe is a cousin descended from the Smalley Family. We had good chats after that discovery.

I am so sorry to hear of Coe's death. He was loved and respected by my family. I will think of him each time I pass by on Columbia. I looked forward every year to see the trees tapped and the familiar metal bucket with the "C" because it always marked the end of a long winter and the promise of spring. Please know Coe will not be forgotten and you are in my thoughts.
