Dear Coldwell family,

I had the great fortune on several occaisions to play golf with Colbert up at Emerald Springs. It has often been said that if you really want to know what kind of man someone is, play a round of golf with them. Every time I played with Colbert he showed himself to be a fine gentleman and a good friend. Ballard, you were indeed blessed to have him as a father, my friend. He will be missed.

Our most sincere codolences go to Mrs. Coldwell, his family, especially Carlisle and her family. My grandparents were very good friends with Judge Coldwell's grandparents here in Clint. I knew Judge Coldwell for many years and I had the utmost respect for him. He loved to joke. I will miss him very much. Sorry we were out of town during the time he passed and at the time of his funeral. My huband also got to meet Judge Coldwell 12 years ago. Quite a fine man. A great loss for us here on earth, a great gain for heaven.
God bless each and everyone of his family members.

My daddy and Colbert were good friends. Judge Coldwell would allow us to go rabbit, dove and quail hunting on his ranch in the sand hills where E.P.C.C. now has it's Mission Valley campus. He was a great man, friend to all who needed assistance with what ever they needed. The lower valley has lost one of it's dearest and most respected leaders. Daddy and Judge Coldwell are now together talking about those good old days. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the Coldwell family. RIP Judge

Dearest Colbert -- We will always remember your great sense of humor! You're in our thoughts...

Dear Family
I have long known the Colbert Coldwell name in conjunction with a many yeared association with Colbert N. JD as both friend and legal counsel.

I knew the esteem that Colbert N. had for his namesake.

When a partner died at the firm he marked that moment with one of my photograp. "Precious Memories" was taken at Evergreen East. An Angel stands guard over a marker that reads:
"In Memorium."

The outside of an accompanying card reads:

Guard us sleeping, Guide us wakeing,
O Lord,
Shelter us with your presence
always.

On the left inside appears "In Memorium" with the words of Ps. 118:

How painful it is to the Lord when
one of his people dies.

On the right side of the card comes my prayer for you during this days and the days to come:

May God fill your heart and home
with precious memories always.
