Colby Evett

You will always be remembered. My Father Raymond Kruszewski worked with you at McDonnell Douglas and always said you were living the dream. It was excitement when dad would say we are going to Evett's to get model planes and stuff. I stiff have Dad's model plane magazines and one stamped on the cover Evett's Model Shop from 1953. Still have many of the push button RC setups dad bought there. May god be with you and your family. You are truly missed.

First of all my condolences to the family, Colby is a part of so many people. I've been a patron of Evett's since the 50's as a kid. In the 80's when I wanted to build a Curtis C-46 model for my father (who flew them WWII) I went right to Colby. It is an extremely rare model and Colby had it, knew it and went right to the spot and pulled the box out. Rest in peace Colby.

I drove past Colby's shop last Friday. I pointed it out to a friend of mine who doesn't live in Santa Monica. I explained to him how I used to hang out there back in the late fifties early sixties.Colby Evett was a part of my teenage years.

Mr.Evett, Thank you to you and your wife for all years of kindness and care. your shop is a classic throwback to an era of personal service and knowledge that is sadly missing from the chain stores.we will miss you sir,rest in peace.

Dr Mr Evett: Thank you for the wonderful things you have done to provide entertainment and education, joy and wonder to the children in our area. Your models kept my brother from picking on me all the time as a child, and I loved it when he got new ones. LOL God Bless you for being the wonderful human being that you are and for bringing your lovely daughter Cathy into my life. God speed sir.

I didn't know You Comrade, but You did good. You are an example that We should all take to heart. Thanks for sharing a little bit of Heaven here on Earth. Rest in Peace.!
