Cole Kirby Obituary
GREENSBORO - Mr. Cole Kirby, 19, passed away March 24, 2007.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Guilford Memorial Park.
Cole attended Pleasant Garden Baptist Church and was a fomer student at Southeast High School.
He is survived by his mother Sheila Gobble of Greensboro; father Steve Kirby of Greensboro; stepmother Mary Golden of Greensboro; sister Stephanie Kirby Long (Matt) of Greensboro; brother Kendall Gobble of Mocksville; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Frazier of Julian; nephew Maddox Long of Greensboro; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.this evening at George Brothers Funeral Service.

Steve, I just want youy to know that I loved those boys more than you can imagine. Tonio brought true love in my life and Cole brought laughter in my life. I want you to know that i will never forget them and they will always be in my heart. You too will be in my heart and in my prayers. Cole was a great friend to me. Ever since 8th grade. I am going to miss that smile and I can't wait until the day I get to see it again. To the parents of Cole your son was a part of our family just like a big bro to my children we loved him as one of ours he was a great person so never forget that.Cole and Antonio were like one and always happy they are now in heavens doors waiting to greet the family and friends they left behind, even though we have moved so far away my family always kept in touch, so heaven is not far and we will still reach them there.

Coley was my one and only nephew ever, the step son of my sister Mary. Our family was so blessed to have spent so many joyous times watching this little angel grow up and become a wonderful young man! Our love and prayers are with you, Sheila and you also Steve. We have all been so fortunate to share in this one special life. I thank God for giving my sister such a wonderful step son and step daughter. My son always never knew the difference between a step cousin and a cousin, it was just 'my Cole or my Stephanie'. Stephie, having lost my own 'little' brother, I know how hard this must be for you and I am so thankful for your wonderful family who will be there for you. Mary, you know from where your strength comes and He alone will sustain you! Antonio's family too, are in my thoughts and prayers as you feel so much like a part of my own family and I didn't even have to know you well! I am so thankful Cole had so many to call his family and friends. I will never forget so many things but one thing which blesses my heart is the memory of the night when at a childrens' church event called 'The Greatest Star of All', I saw a little hand go up when they ask if anyone wanted to ask Jesus to come into their heart! Coley always had a good heart and I have no doubt his good heart only grew sweeter that night as Jesus came in and prepared a place for him. There is great comfort in knowing we will see him again! I will cling to that as I walk through the sadness of his absence here. I pray his friends can take heart in this too. Coley left a beautful legacy of love for all his brothers and sisters and he could not have done anything more to bring honor to all of his parents. No doubt, when heaven opened up and the angels escorted him and Antonio and Lynn into the gates, no doubt, Jesus said, 'well done, my son'.

Cole was a very happy young man. I never saw him without a smile on his face. Him and Antonio were friends of my daughter Elizabeth. They use to hand out and play pool at my house. My prayers are with all family and friends. They will be forever missed but never forgotten.
