Cole Lanigan Obituary
He was born February 13, 1987 in Somerset; son of Patrick William & (Regina) Lanigan of Waynesburg and Tammy Kay & (Jamie) Board of Highland. He was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln County High School, a 2009 graduate of Centre College, and a 2014 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Cole was a musician, an artist, an attorney, and a beloved son, brother, husband, and father.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Brandi; five children, Liam, Alannah, Traven, Donielle, and Tayler; three brothers, Ryan & (Renee) Lanigan of Stanford, Eric Board of Junction City, and Nathanael Blosser of Waynesburg; two nephews, Aiden and Asher Lanigan; a grandmother, Billie Jean Lanigan of Waynesburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Cole is preceded in death by three grandparents, Patrick Hugh Lanigan, Gene Larry Dungan, and Anna Lee Dungan and an aunt, Lisa J. Denney.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the William "Liam" Nolan Lanigan Fund at First Southern National Bank, PO Box 295
Stanford, KY 40484.

I sincerely hate to hear this. I hadn't seen him in years, but at one time we hung out a lot. He was very wise, even as a teenager. He was an awesome person. So many prayers to his family!

I'm so shocked and sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of mentoring Cole at Vantiv (now FIS) years ago. I had always hoped we would work together again someday. He was a kind, intelligent, funny and positive guy. I will miss our philosophical conversations and hearing about his future plans. I'm so happy he was able to experience marriage and fatherhood. I used to watch Outletdown a hundred years ago when they would perform locally at Joes, and Cole was an awesome musician and I really enjoyed hearing him perform. He was really quite natural, and I always hoped he continued to sing for many years. I am truly shocked and saddened at the loss of Cole, and I am so sorry for the family and friends of him.

So incredibly sorry for your loss. Cole and I had many adventures since we became friends at 18we always had a fun time, shared an apartment, and had some real genuine conversations. Cole, I love you more than anything. You were my best friend, a person I consider a true brother and an extension of my own family. You affected me in so many ways, and were always there to share the best of moments with me. Just a sampling of the great moments: the countless races/football games/baseball games/etc. we went to together, rooming with you in college, you visiting me during my 3 year odyssey in Germany, the countless weekends spent traveling to see one another after I came home from Germany, you being there the night I proposed to Mackenzie, being there as a Groomsman for my wedding, etc. Your spirit will forever live on in my heart, and I will never forget you. I love you man.
