Cole Stallings Obituary
'Boogie'
Cole Stallings, 13 months of Pineville, NC, went to be with Jesus Friday, February 8, 2008 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Cole was born on December 10, 2006 in Pineville, NC to Anda Renee Stallings. Although Cole faced challenges in life, he persevered with the most unique and happy spirit.
He was predeceased by his maternal great grandfather, Frank Stallings.
Survivors include his parents, Anda Stallings and Jason Pirtle, of Pineville, NC; maternal grandparents, Ann Stallings of Pineville and Don and Debbie Stallings of Charlotte, NC; maternal great-grandparents, Johnny and Olly Satterfield of Pineville, NC and Dorothy Stallings of Hickory, NC; aunts, Brea Stallings of Pineville and Adrian, Jessica and Lindsey Pegg, all of Charlotte, NC; a great aunt, Tonda Killough of Pineville; and two special friends, Cesar Hernandez and Leigha Christenbury both of Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, February 11, 2008 at Stough Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Cripps and Pastor Steve All officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 pm on Monday at the church. Internment will follow in Crown Memorial Park, Pineville.
Cole and his family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Pediatric Nephrology, Progressive Care, PICU and Transplant Center of Levine Children's Hospital. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made in honor of Cole to Levine Children's Hospital, PO Box 32861 Charlotte, NC 28232 or to The National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina 5950 Fairview Road Suite 550 Charlotte, NC 28210-2102.Crown Funeral Service is handling arrangements for the Stallings family.

Anda and Jason,
We were so sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both, your hearts must be so heavy with sadness and tears. I understand with the loss of our grandbaby. Know that Cole is in a wonderful and peaceful place now free of pain. Keep your faith strong in the Lord Jesus Christ as he will give you peace. Prayer works - our family knows this first hand. Dear Anda, I have never met you, or your precious little boy. I stumbled across a picture in memory of Cole and my heart broke. I have a 4 month old son myself and can not possibly imagine the heartache or sorrow you must be feeling. Before you were born, God had your whole life story written. This is one of the chapters, and through it you will become what you were meant to be. I know that does nothing to heal your heart, but maybe it can give you a little bit of hope for the future. Cry your tears now, and let the pain and sorrow wash out with every tear you cry, and know that God is catching each one of them. One day your little boy will run into your arms at the gate of heaven and your heart will be whole again.

Dear wonderful Anda,
I know nothing I can say could begin to take away the sorrow you must be feeling. Just know that God is taking care of your little boy now and that is His greatest gift! Although I never met Cole, I share in your grief. You are in my heart and my prayers Anda. I love you!

Anda and Family, there is no easy way to say this and I know you have heard it too many times these past few days but I am truely sorry for your loss...Adrian kept us updated daily and I loved your blogs on Caring Bridge...Cole definitely enlightened and brightened all our lives even if some of us never got to meet him!!! I have a picture in my cube above my computer! Yesterday was beautiful and very touching! I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers...please take care and let us know if there is anything we can do! (Adrian's friend from work)

Hello! I haven't met you and can not imagine your pain especially today! My heart aches for you and my prayers are with you! My sister works for Gaston County with Rick (not sure of his last name) and had sent me an email to pray for Cole many months ago and I have kept check on him through his Caringbridge website. I had great hope for him since his transplant and was so sad to hear of your loss. Please know that our prayers are with you and your family.

My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to you in your time of mourning. My heart aches for you so much, Anda. Being a mother of a 12 month old myself, I can't imagine what you're feeling. Anda and family, I never met Boogie, but knowing Anda, he was special. My heart breaks for you. Know that he is now with Jesus, and that he is perfect. He has no more pain, doctor/hospital visits. You have tremendous inner strength to have done all you did and taken care of him so well. Anda, Adrian has shared all of Cole's triumphs and trials with many of her friends over the past months. We prayed for him and all of you, rejoiced with you when we heard the kidney was working and cried with you when he was gone. I remember when I first met Cole he was always so bright eyed even when I would wake him up in the middle of the night. We spent so much time with Cole and his family we all just fell in love with everyone. He will truly be missed.

This is a day for joy, but yet a sad one. the we love dear is no longer here with us, but he has moved on to bigger and better things, we will miss him. He kept smiles on all faces, he gave hope to us all, a life so full of joy and hope and lots of love. He gave us all something to hold on to , he made you strong and belive, I know its hard but but be sad or give up, just keep the faith, he gave to you but only for a shrot time, but he gave you so much.
