Colette Goddard Cowdrey

On January 22, 2023, Colette (Goddard) Cowdrey joined her mother and father, passing away weeks after her 76th birthday of natural causes. Colette was a classic California girl, born in 1946 in the Bay Area. She was a devoted hard working single parent, I am her only child. The northern California coast was her magical place. Often taking me on spontaneous road trips to Carmel and Monterey for the weekend when she had a little extra money. Known for being stubborn and fiery at times, Colette was also fiercely protective of those lucky enough to be loved by her, especially her family. Like a true Sagittarius, my mother was optimistic and encouraging to those around her, humorous, unpretentious, and creative. She struggled with her health this last several years and is finally at peace, no more pain, no more confusion. She was survived by husband, Gary Marsh; daughter, Michelle Alberts; and brother, Rodney Goddard. Her wishes were simply for cremation, and to spend perpetuity with her daughter. A memorial in California is in the works for 2023.
