I know this is late after the fact but I am just seeing this! I was one of those young nurses that cared for Colin at Children´s for 18 month´s. Quit shortly after to raise my own family. Colin was the bright spot in everyone´s day in the NICU as we cared for so many tiny premies. I´m so glad he did well and lived a full life, though cut short too soon. God Bless you all who loved him.

Linda and Ron. On the behalf of the Caven family, we want to say how sorry we are for your loss. We were shocked and devastated when we heard of Colins passing. I don't know if my sons told you about the first time I met Colin. It was 45 years ago when Dan and David spent their first 2 weeks of life in Childrens Hospital. I saw this spunky little boy who the nurses had in a walker and who was giving them a run for their money. I learned his name was Colin. What a surprise 17 years later when my sons had brought him to our house after school. For the last 28 years, Dan and David have been good friends with Colin and I know they miss him but they will always have good memories to look back on when they think of him. Again, you have our sympathy. Christine Caven

I love holidays and family gatherings. I couldn't wait to play quarters. COLIN WAS THE BEST! He was the most genuine, down to earth person I ever knew. He touched many people and will be greatly missed.

I will never forget the great times I had with Colin. As a third shift worker throughout my twenties and thirties, we spent countless Wednesday nights at Colin's favorite hangout, "Jimmy's". Colin enjoyed the 2 for 1 drink specials and trying out the different seasonal beers on the menu. We had a blast talking about current events, sports, and whatever else was going on in our lives. It was a treat watching sports on the big screen TV, and trying our luck on pull-tabs. We got to know some of the regulars and long time employees at Jimmy's. Over the years, we hit some nice jackpots on pull-tabs and bingo. Colin left Jimmy's with a huge smile on his face and it brought joy and happiness to me, that he was always having a great time with me and his other close friends. I am sorry that you were taken from us way too early, buddy. You will never be forgotten and I will cherish all the fun times that we had over your lifetime. Rest in peace, my friend. -Dave Caven

Linda and Ron are really special friends to me. I remember Colin as a toddler I lived with Linda for a while. He was always such a sweet boy.
