Working with Mr Cottrell during my tenure as financial Vice President at Paul Quinn was a great pleasure. I pray that God gives comfort to his family during this time of adjusting to the reality of his pilgrim journey coming to an earthly end.

A good friend, a great man. Always made time for you regardless of how busy he might have been.
He actually sponsored our Pro Am Basketball team, "The Proline Roadkings". He dressed us well and we went out and kicked butt. Thanks for being a TRUE FRIEND COMER. You will be missed.

My deep Condolences go out to you Felisha, Bryce, Lance and the entire Cottrell Family. I didnt know Comer personally although I was introduced to him by you years ago! I just know he was a great businessman, with a passion for success!!! He was a great access to our Dallas communities and what he did with Bishop College and in getting Paul Quinn College to Dallas and making it what it is today. He also was a great husband and father. I've witness the Love he had and shared with you and the boys, as well as the rest of his children. He was a great man, who will be missed.
I was so grateful for the story TMZ, did on him, stating Hollywood Legend dies at 82. He made it all the way to Hollywood, what an honor sis. I love you, my prayers will continue for you and the boys!!! I pray Jesus is you all strength. Always a phone call away, if needed.

Mr. C as we all called him from production area. Was a man with a heart of gold. He cared for people. He believed in his employees and them supporting there families. At Christmas it did not matter if you were his employee for two weeks or twenty years. He made sure you left with a bonus to help with your Hoilday. He was a man sent from God. Be blessed family

In the late 1980's I played on team Pro Line a Pro Am basketball team and Comer would often offer words of encouragement and inspiration I always considered that a rather magnanimous gesture for a man of his stature. He was always gracious and accommodating. A true gentlemen and role model.

Comer Cottrell was a natural giver, a spiritual man who expressed the love for many people. He gave, and gave, until he gave out. He was close to people who were close to him and treated him as a person, but with respect. I admired his tenacity, his honesty, and the love which he gave to all. I hope that all saw him in the same light as I knew and appreciated him. I will miss you Comer.
