Connie J. Alexander

ALEXANDER – Connie J., 64, Windber, died May 14, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 15, 1944, in Pontiac, Mich., daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Jane (Strappello) Senior. Also preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Joy Schindel. Survived by husband, Michael J. Jr.; children: Douglas M., married to the former Courtney Frazier; Michael J. III,  married to the former Jessica Owens; Ashley Alexander; and Darren Schindel, all of Windber; and Erica Schindel, Davidsville; and grandchildren: Chelsea and Scott Schindel, Cassie and Jacob Evans, Blake Alexander, Skylar Alexander, Arionna and Christopher Wilburn, and Felicia Gentile. Sister of Duane Senior, Windber; and Sandra, wife of Gary Smith, Indian Lake. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Connie was an office nurse for Drs. Aguilera for 27 years, and for Dr. Kevin Sugalski for five years. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who was loved and respected by all of her family, friends and patients. She will be sadly missed more than words could ever express. The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF, pastor, presiding. Commital, St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Memorials may be made to either Scalp Level- Paint Volunteer Fire Company or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
