Age 66. Of Springfield Twp. NJ. Formerly of Willingboro NJ. On Feb. 25 2002. Dr. Bell was born in Reading PA to the late Harry E. Bell and Katie Mae (nee Crayton) Bell. After graduating from the Temple University School of Pharmacy Dr. Bell started his Pharmacy career in York PA in 1958. Dr. Bell was the first African American Pharmacist at the York Hospital. On or about 1970 Dr. Bell graduated from the School of Osteopathic Medicine Phila PA. At his graduation he was named winner of the coveted 'Sophia Freiter Barth Award' awarded to the member of the graduating class upon recommendation of the Department of Pediatrics for exceptional achievement. Dr. Bell was also a recipient of the Willingboro Chapter of the NAACP Community Service Award in 1982. Dr. Bell the gentle giant was a lover of golf and bowling. Dr. Bell is survived by his wife Superior Court Judge Marie White Bell his mother Katie Mae Bell of Reading PA 4 brothers Harry and Winston both of Reading PA Richard of Willow Grove and Wilbur of Annapolis MD sisters-in-law and a host of nieces nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday March 4 2002 11AM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church 150 E. Second St. Burlington NJ. Viewing 9-10AM. Entombment Lakeview Memorial Park Cinnaminson NJ. Arrangements by the W.R. WOODY FUNERAL HOME Burlington NJ
