Great teacher, leader, and friend to so many. Fr. Kratz had a knack for working with young adults "at their level". Loved it when he joined the gang for electronic darts! Fr. Kratz made such a positive contribution to our community.

Having read all the entries in this "guest book", it is obvious the world has lost a great priest, beloved friend, and mentor. My thoughts and love for Father Conrad are echoed in the words of so many others. We were blessed to have had him in our lives. And I find a smile by imagining him entertaining our Lord with his marvelous wit and engaging personality. Father Conrad, you were a blessing in my life and I will dearly miss you, 'til we meet again.

There are few people that can make an impact immediately. Conrad was this kind of person. My mom, Dee Wenner, recommended that we meet while I was in seminary in Berkeley, Ca. I was not sure how it would go, because we had never met. He put me at ease with his humor and his strong and open faith. We connected quickly, and I got see him one more time when I visited my mother in WI. Again, it was like we had known each other for a very long time. I heard the story from my mom of how he did the impossible - bringing two churches together into one. I have worked in the church long enough to know how difficult a challenge that would be, but having met Conrad, I had to smile - of course he could do it! I loved watching the loving playful relationship Fathers Tim and Conrad had together, at our lunch gathering - Conrad the tease and Tim ever humble and embarrassed, even. I am feeling with Tim and with all who loved Conrad and for whom he lighted the path to God. What a privilege to be for others. You did that Conrad, for many. Rest in peace.

My Prayers and Sympathy to the Norbertine Community and to Fr. Kratz's family. During my tenure at St. Joseph Academy Green Bay we came to know each other and I will never forget his many kindnesses to us when our principal, Sr. Helen Zambrowicz died. I also enjoyed seeing him on my yearly visits since I left Green Bay for ministry in St. Louis. I attend church at Our Lady of Lourdes when I am in town. May he now enjoy the fullness of God's loving presence.

Deepest condolences to the family of Fr. Kratz. There aren't many people in this world who have such a profound impact on so many people's lives. Fr. Kratz was one of them. He will truly be missed, but his impact continues to be felt through those who he influenced. I regret not being able to reconnect with him since relocating back to the area. He was the embodiment of God's representative on earth!
Rest in Peace Conrad.

To Conrad's sibs and to the Norbertines, our loving condolences! Wow this was sad news and it is hard to shift to our Christian teachings and faith for so dear a friend and Holy Priest! Prayers, sacrifices, and peace be with you as we celebrate Conrad's life!!! We have another advocate working at a whole new level! Imagine Conrad soaring now more than before! May need some new rules in heaven now. He baptized our son Kurt during one of our work assignments in Green Bay and I sang in the St. Joes choir. He has brought us to tears of joy and tears of humility as the Holy Spirit worked through him continuously. Conrad went to St. Norbert's with my 2 sisters, Barbara and Clare Zettel and we have stayed in touch forever. He spent time with Lynn and I as we discerned moving from peaceful Allouez WI to crazy California. He prayed with us, gave us awesome inspired advice and we thank God for him ALL the time. We have been blessed and feel we are doing God's work in California. We are still in CA after 28 years. As busy as he was, he never refused a call or email request for prayers and a visit to my mom as she was in her last days in the hospital and nursing home in DePere.
We love you all and look forward to our next visit - and we will enjoy a box of Seroogies chocolates to celebrate with Conrad!

I didn't know Fr Kratz personally, but whenever I was fortunate to run into him, he was always very kind and friendly. He personified the kind of person that the Norbertines are as priests. We as a community were blessed by his love and dedication to God, Church and Community. My prayers and deepest sympathy to his family, parishioners and the Norbertine Community. Rest in Peace Fr. Fr.Conrad was such an important part of my life starting as a teacher at Premontre in the 70's, performing a marriage ceremony and becoming a close friend in the 80's, remaining a good friend and helping me through some tough times in the 90's, to getting me back to church with his wonderful sermons and lenten services in the 2000's. My sympathy to his entire family and extended family. My heart is very saddened as if I lost a brother.Conrad, I have so many memories of things you said and time spent with my daughter my wife Denise and me. I love you Conrad, you will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to all who are feeling the loss of this wonderful spiritual man. He was a priest in every sense of the word. He was also my spiritual advisor through my diaconate training and guided me through the process of discernment. As with so many others, he touched my life in a unique way and will be greatly missed.
Until we meet again Fr. Conrad...
Rest in the Peace of Christ.

Fr. Conrad was a true blessing in the Schmitt/Pampel/Zacharias families. I'm so glad St. Norbert College brought him into our lives. He helped many of us through some tough times; and spread his wit and wisdom to all of us. Now it's our turn to spread his wit and wisdom to the rest of the world! As he always said, humor is the best medicine.

I remember Father Conrad as a young man at Premontre. He was funny and bright and had a great plan for his life. Even all these years later I remember him with great fondness. We will miss his presence in this world and look for him in the next.

My mother passed away in October 1980 of my freshman year at SNC. Father Conrad helped me thru some tough times that year. He became a great friend and I will always be grateful for any time I spent with him. He married my husband and I and baptized all three of our children. He was also there when my father passed and made his funeral mass so special. I count his friendship as one of my blessings. The angels are rejoicing with this man now in heaven.

There will never be anyone like Fr. Kratz
again, he was one of a kind, the very best kind. I made it a point to attend
anything that he was involved in especially during Lent and at the Spirituality Center. He had such a
close relationship with God, he made us
all feel as if they were best friends.
Now I am sure that they are and he is
telling jokes to God.
May he rest in peace and may we all
be able to take something positive
away from his suffering and dying.
