Constance Lockhart Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 21, 2025.
Constance Lynn Lockhart, our beloved mother and protector, passed away on February 22, 2025 in Tucson, Arizona. Constance was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on July 19, 1955, and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C., earning a BA in Chemistry. She moved to Wilmington, Delaware in the 1970s where she met her husband, Ronald. They married in 1981. In 1986, they moved to Tucson, Arizona where they raised their children. Constance worked as a Senior Research Chemist for Tessenderlo Kerley for over 35 years, where she co-invented 21 patents. Constance coached youth soccer and volunteered for the Fort Lowell Shoot Out. She was an avid reader, enjoying historical non-fiction. Just five months shy of retirement, she planned to travel the world and learn how to play the guitar and cello. Constance is survived by her children, Coltere (Kimberly) Lockhart, Alexandra Lockhart, and Morgan Lockhart; step-son, Clay Lockhart; sister, Cynthia (Joseph) Waldschmitt; grandchildren, Maxwell Lockhart and Weston Lockhart; and her canine companions, Theodore and Choo Choo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, and her parents, Ralph and Wilma Frank. Funeral services will be held at East Lawn Palms in Tucson, Arizona at a date to be announced at a later time.

I knew Connie, all too briefly, as colleagues at TKI for the last 7 years. Connie was such a wonderful colleague and, more importantly, simply a wonderful person.

She has left an indelible mark of my life, and has a position that is simply irreplaceable.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Connie's family and friends, and may her memory be a blessing for always.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to Connie´s loved ones. I´ve had the joy of knowing Connie since our high school days. We had a wonderful group of friends back then, Connie of course being the smart one with a kind heart and great hair. She will always have a special place in my heart with lots of fond memories of our high school years together and the close friendships and happiness that those times brought to all of us. Connie, thank you for your sweet friendship and for my puppy Hansel that you gave to me for my birthday. Such special times that will remain with all of us forever!

Dear all,
I wish you all the strength to process the loss of your mother, family member and friend. Conny has contributed so much to Tessenderlo Kerley during her long professional career, and she has always been a great team member and colleague, very knowledgeable and helping other colleagues. We were planning synthesis knowledge transfer with her overseas colleagues from Tessenderlo Innovation Center in Belgium, indicating how much professional impact she had. Our deepest condolences,
Stefan Smeets,
Senior Vice President Innovation Tessenderlo Group

I'd like to share my sincere condolocences for the passing away of Connie, our dearest colleague. tAs a Belgian citizen and employee of the mother company Tessenderlo Group, I travelled several times to Phoenix and got to meet and work with Connie in workshops discussing new innovative ideas, the progress of research and development work and on patented inventions. I got to know Connie as a very committed, loyal and sincere person with a great dedication to her work. She left no one untouched by her way too soon and sudden departure to - what i hope for her- another beautiful life somehow somewhere, where she can be re-united with her beloved ones. i wish that you as a family and relatives can find strength in many joyful memories of Connie as your mother, sister, friend, ...She deserves to be remembered every moment of every day.
warm regards,
Edith Hermans, Bilzen (Belgium)

I had the privilege of working with Connie for about 27 years. She was one of the most friendly, passionate, and caring people I know. Very helpful, and diligent on her work and always was ready to help others. Rest in peace dear Connie.
