I was lucky enough to call Connie my dear friend for many, many years. We shared many laughs and stories when we would go to lunch together. I will miss her always.

Sympathy to all in the loss of a loved one.
My memories go back to Wayne when we were housemates. Wonderful memories including going to Chicago for her wedding and experiencing an earthquake enroute. Like Connie, traveling has been in my life however we did not continue contact after completion of course work at Wayne. A life well lived!

Leo and I got the privilege to know Constance while back; first as a customer and then as a friend. She was a beautiful person inside and outside. Always taking care of people around her. She was a loving, caring mother and a wife.
We are so blessed we got to know her and the family all these years.
We´ll keep her in our memories and the family in on our prayers.
With love
Leo and Evelyn

Since Connie´s passing, I have been thinking about how to express what this dear woman and her significant friendship have meant to me over 40 plus years. I appreciate our discussions about nursing, politics, aging gracefully, and most of all our families. Connie taught me the meaning of resilience after Kristen´s death and how she honored her daughter by sharing loving memories. I resonated with her pride of the accomplishments of her daughter, Khia, and grandchildren, Alex, Teddy, Philip and Kit, and Mark and Suzie. Connie´s vivid descriptions of their lives made me feel as if I knew them personally. And I waited excitedly for summaries of the fabulous trips she and Richard and their friends made over the years. I cherish the years of experiencing plays, museums, and restaurants with fellow nurses, and the laughter and comradery that accompanied these outings. I will be forever grateful that Connie and Richard visited my new home in MA in June when they were last in CT. While her death came too soon, and I miss her dreadfully, the loving memories we shared will always be in my heart.

I worked with Connie at west la va for 8 years she mentored me ! She was always there to talk about how lame the va was or give me clinical ideas . Mostly I loved to hear her brag about her children and grandchildren . She is and was a true gem . I hate that the last time I saw her was the last . She was always so full of life I never would have thought it would be the last time . We were supporting a close friend after she lost her husband . She was always a great support even through we haven´t worked together for 8 years I looked up to her immensely. Not only as a clinician but as a mother ,sister ,grandmother and friend . She also gave my daughter her first pair of crocs as a baby gift . Like she always said and had it posted in her office Carpe diem Connie ! I already miss you !

Connie was a friend for half of my life (85years). We met at the VA and became friends & went to the theater, museums & the like. We walked & she was my witness to 3 falls where I broke bones each time. We spent many hours talking which left me treasuring those hours of a rare & lovely connection. The day before she departed for Africa, she visited my daughter & I. We shared lunch as well as engaging conversation. I am extremely grateful for the final experience with my kind, smart & faithful friend who I shall miss beyond words.

My Husband and I (Jim Oss and Matt Kohal) have been close friends with Connie and Richard for over 40 years. I met Richard at Luther Burbank Jr. High School in Los Angeles, Highland Park when we were 12 years old. I was Richard's best man in their wedding in Chicago. When we were enduring COVID Connie and I arranged a trip with Viking Cruises to go from New Orleans to Memphis on their new River Boat, 7 wonderful days. For the last 25 years Connie has been my confident and I hers. As the years went by we had long phone conversations, there were no secrets between us. Can you imagine how much I will miss her and her views on life and the world. My condolences to Richard, Mark and his wife Suzy and their 4 children. The pain and grief is excruciating. Richard, I shall continue to be your friend for as long as I live. If there is anything you need just let me know. Matt and I will always be here for you.

I have wonderful memories of Connie - our soccer days and the many games we watched while our sons played.
May her memory be a blessing to Richard and Mark and all her family and many friends.
Please let me know when the service for Connie will be.

As a child, my only memories of "Auntie Connie", my Godmother, were annual birthday gifts sent from far off California. I always cherished those gifts (that red white and blue/Bicentennial Hot Wheels set was magnificent!), but only got to meet her once in person, while on family vacation to California in 1978.
Still, my mother Sandra/Connie´s cousin, always kept the family updated on their regular communication.
In recent years, her incredible generosity when I was laid off from United Airlines due to the impact of COVID is something that shook me to the core, and which I will never forget.
I will always remember Connie with great affection.

I only met Connie when she was Medevac'd down to South Africa from Botswana, but my first impressions were of a lively, interesting woman despite the fact that she was immobilized by her injuries. I would like to have known her. My condolences to the family on their sudden loss.
