It was with a sad heart that I heard of Aunty Connies passing. She and Uncle Jimmy always had a warm welcome for the Oades children. I will remember her fondly to my children and to others with whom I share family stories.

My deepest condolences to the Pezoulas family. She always had a smile on and a pleasant word to say. Thinking of her brings back many warm childhood memories watching her chat with my grandmother.
She will be remembered fondly.

I will miss Aunty Connie very much. She was always happy to see me and spoiled me to no end. Her blue cookies (I never learned the Greek name) were deliciously soaked in honey and will always be my favorite cookie. Blue cookies you ask? Well, no they weren't actually blue in color, but as a three year old my understanding of color was little off.

I'm not sure if I told her or not but I now eat and enjoy the grape leaves on dolmatas (sp?). In fact, in her honor I went out to a Greek restaurant here in Windsor last night and ate as many dolmatas as I could stuff in my mouth. They weren't as good as hers, but they brought back a lot of memories.

She has now joined Uncle Jimmy and my grandparents in Heaven. I hope she will be happier there then she has been here on Earth for the last few years.

My condolences to all of her children and grandchildren, especially Natia and Gus who have done a tremendous job in supporting her since Uncle Jimmy's death. I'm sorry I can't be there for the funeral, but I will be thinking of all of you.

Best wishes,

Jamey O'Grady
