Constance Nestor "Connie" Smode

Constance "Connie" Nestor Smode of Baton Rouge, LA, daughter of the late Edward Nestor and the late Shirley Nestor, passed away Monday December 23, 2013. Born in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 1968, Connie also lived in Terre Haute, IN, Indianapolis, IN and Little Rock, AR. She was retired after a 25 year career in sales. She is survived by her husband, Frank N. Smode, Baton Rouge, LA; her children, Jennifer F. Lopez and Guy G. Faulstich, Baton Rouge, LA; her brother, Edward Nestor, Kenner, LA; her sister, Shirley Pittman, Algiers, LA; 3 grandchildren, Grant Lopez, Dominic Lopez and Madeline Lopez, Baton Rouge, LA. Connie enjoyed traveling with frequent trips to New York City where she loved to shop and visit Little Italy and trips to the West Coast where she loved Palm Springs and Napa Valley. Connie also enjoyed exploring Louisiana and other parts of the country on the back of their Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Italian cooking, interior design, gardening, quilting and sewing, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and her family. She will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 10:00AM until funeral service at 12:00 noon at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
