Dear Angie and Family,

I and my family are greatly grieved to hear of your son's passing. I regret not sending this message sooner, but I want you to know that you have been in my (our) prayers since we learned of Dean's passing. I especially want Angie to know that even though I did not know Dean, I believe that he was as loving and caring as are his brothers and sisters because I know Angie and know that she instilled those characteristics in all of her children. It is difficult to formulate words that express our deepest sympathy, but we want you to know that our love and prayers are with you during this time of spiritual healing. May God Bless you all and keep you healthy,

I was so sorry to hear of Dean's passing. He was a joy to know, and we shared many stories of our travels as our cubes were next to each other at Compaq/HP for at least a couple of years. I knew Dean as a man of integrity and honor, but down to earth and always supportive and helpful. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. Losing a loved family member is never easy, but I'm asking God to hold you all in the palm of His hand, surrounding you with His love and presence.

I guess this is truly not a coincidence that my entry is coming directly after reading my brothers! You all seem to have really known our dad AKA "Papa", "The Colonel", and many more! Our father died with the faith, perseverance and dignity, in which he lived. Many of mom and dad's friends called dad a "warrior", and I can honestly say, that my dad, was a true warrior until the end. Dad taught me so much but the teaching that has ameliorated my growing up, were: 1. Love the lord above all and ALWAYS honor your parents! 2. (With tongue in cheek) keep your mouth shut and your ears open... THEY ALWAYS MAKE A MISTAKE and, 3. (In a whisper) if that don't work, deny, deny! May our Lord be with him now and take away the physical pain that he endured with such courage. We will all miss you daddy. Love Kris

Dear Pappas Family, I am so saddened by the loss of Dean. Dean was the gentleman of Albuquerque New Mexico. He was the person we all looked up to and when he left for college and the service it was a very proud day for all in Albuquerque. He served his family, and his country with every ounce of life anyone could. My most lasting memory will be his smooth dancing at all of the Greek parties at the Greek Church on High St in Albuquerque.

May your family Dean, hold your life close to their hearts forever.

You will be missed by us all
