Corey Cornelius Hill

I never had the pleasure of meeting Corey in person but I have only heard good things about him. My son and I watched some of his UFC fights on YouTube this past weekend and a video of him speaking about his post leg injury. In just seeing those videos I can truly understand why so many spoke so very fondly of him at the service. I felt a genuine connection as if I've known him forever. His beautiful wife and kids are in my prayers as well as his parents and any loved ones and friends he has left behind. As his sister Shauna so eloquently expressed during the service...."he lives on" in his children and his parents. May our God give you all continued strength to live on in this life and do him proud.

I went through high school with Cory, he was a great man and will be missed dearly until we meet again RIP Cory

My prayers go out to the entire Hill family especially Corey's wife and 3 young children. Corey was a great person and although I had not seen him in years I'm sure that never changed. Heaven has gained another angel Gone but will never be forgotten RIP Corey Hill

So many thoughts & prayers going out to the family- words can never express the sorrow felt for all. Corey was an amazing person. It was so encouraging to the NCTHS wrestlers who Corey came out & supported- my son Jordan was among those. My heart breaks for this entire family. Such a tragedy & such a very young age. He was always willing to help me with Field Day. One of the best volunteers I have ever had. Happy, energetic, and upbeat are words I would use to describe him. He always put a smile on my face whenever we talked. He will be missed but never forgotten.

My sympathy and prayers go out to the Hill family. Corey's mother was so wonderful to my children as their kindergarten teacher my heart breaks for Elnora. I will hold the family in my prayers.

I knew Corey and his parents Bill & Elnora for over 12 years. They are our neighbors and friends. Elnora worked at my son's school and Corey introduced me to MMA & the UFC. He was so proud of his accomplishments and encouraged me to watch the season he was on The Ultimate Fighter. I did and was instantly hooked. I started following the sport and became a fan of Ronda Rousey. He thought that was neat. My son was also introduced to the sport and wants to be an MMA fighter one day, like *our neighbor Corey*. Ironically the day Corey passed, my son and I met Ronda. I thought of Corey the whole time. Corey was a great guy. He always talked about his wife and kids, with pride. He never failed to wave, as he drove by in his truck. If he had time, he would stop, to catch up. I still remember the day he first stopped in front of my house and introduced himself to us... 12 years ago. "Hi I am your neighbor Corey." My husband and I are still stunned by this. To the Hill family, the Johnson family gives you are deepest sympathies. Love Jennifer, Albert, Dante' & Mason.

We are blessed to have had a chance to know Corey through our daughters' love of sports. He was always there, cheering with praise and encouragement. We loved his smile and his hugs and always looked forward to talking to him after games and at school events.
To Lauran, Seytia, Kenyan, Corey Jr. and all of Corey's family, our hearts and our prayers are with you. May God be with all of you through this difficult time.
