Corinne Elizabeth Starr

Starr, Corinne Elizabeth Born March 2 1926 on the Peter and Helen Sitzman dairy farm outside Buckman. She spoke German before learning English at school. Corinne worked at Munsingwear through World War II and married Melvin Starr when his service in the U.S. Merchant Marines ended in 1948. Two sons, Thomas and David, foreign-exchange son Dr. Oswaldo Rodriquez, and their friends were nurtured with love, caring, and good cooking. After raising her children, she continued her sales career at Palace Clothing in Virginia MN, Young Quinlan, and managed a Claire's Boutique. A long retirement was spent learning to swim, conversing with and entertaining friends, neighbors, relatives, and being grandmother to Katie and Mollie (Tim). Travels in the USA, Europe and South America, and loafing on the beach in Mazatlan were treasured. In her last years 'Oma' especially enjoyed visits from her great-grandchildren, Breanna and Adam.
