Cory LeMonte Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 12, 2025.
Cory was born on January 11, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio and sent to his eternal home on April 12, 2025 in Georgia by a tragic accident.

He was outstanding in sports earning three letters from Holy Name High School where he graduated. During that time his love for God grew and he became a Eucharistic Minister with the guidance of Fr. Krizner † whom he admired so. Shortly after graduation he served two years in the Marine Corp.

His immaterial lifestyle living in an RV drove his caring hands with his beloved dog, Pearl† to Georgia to help his cousin, Eric with his landscaping business and help his Aunt, Jeaunett with the care of his cousin, Greg who loved him dearly.

Those who knew Cory will remember him for his infectious smile, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

His dedication to his faith and his desire to bring light to those in need epitomized his joyful and generous nature.

He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God.

His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Cory is survived by his beautiful daughter, Rosie, his loving parents, Frank and Mary Lee, his brothers, Frank and Bryan, and sister, Tiffany Karnavas (Nick), and uncle to, Nick III, Paxton, Genevieve, and George.

He also leaves behind many Uncles and Aunts and a host of cousins and friends who shared in his joyful spirit.

He was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Ed and Rosemary Schnupp, grandma, Rita Dryer, Uncles Ken and James, Aunts Jackie and Jan.

The service to honor the life of Cory will be held on May 31, 2025 beginning with the Rosary at 9:00 am and Mass at 9:30 am at St. Patrick Church WP on Rocky River Drive.

An Old Friend

Sometimes it's the best of us, who are blessed enough, to graduate early. Cory was always making those around him laugh and smile. So gentle natured, with such a humble, kind and calming presence, Cory made friends with literally everyone. He will always have one of the biggest hearts of anyone I've ever known. Let the music play on, until we meet up again my friend.

Mary Lee--the loss of your young, beautiful, and wholesome son must be devastating. I know you were a great mom to him, as well as your other children. You may find some consolation in his little daughter Rosie. She will always carry a part of him in her. Much love, Victoria Belfiglio

On behalf of our family, our deepest condolences to each of you. We have many fun memories of Corey, the elementary years, the sport activities, the hanging with our son and their mischievous actions, still brings us smiles. We are so very sad to see this. His photo is just as I remember him. That twinkle in his eyes and his captivating smile, will always be remembered. Prayers for comfort. May he rest in heavenly peace. Your angel watching over you and your family. God Bless.

So sorry to hear about Cory. Truly one of a kind. I had him in Theology class and coached him in baseball at Holy Name High School...and he was so talented, creative, funny, super athletic...

So glad we talked at Fr. Krizner's funeral services.

You don't forget a guy like Cory LeMonte. RIP. I know you and Fr. Krizner are enjoying each other's company.

In 20 years of coaching CYO basketball no kid stood out like Cory. He was the best I ever coached (if you could call it that). He was funny, irreverent and had a unique, old Soul light about him. I brought him up to the wife a couple weeks ago despite not having seen him in years. That´s the impact he had. Devastated to hear this news. Our sincere condolences to family and friends who Loved him. We sure did. RIP Player.
