Not sure if I can do this for I haven´t had a good cry yet, but I `m going to give it a shot, so bear with me.
Now she is gone, do not fear her memory. Do not be afraid to speak her name or look through old photographs and see her laughs. Do not be scared to play old messages so that you might hear her voice. Do not be afraid of visiting places you enjoyed together or eating her favorite foods or remembering some of her favorite songs, I know it will hurt, those memories will remind us that she is gone. It´s going to stab at us like a knife in a open wound.
Raw, Excruciating, Pain.
But after a while the knife will dull, the wound will start to heal and the pain will numb, and those memories will remind us that she was here, that she lived.
Do not reduce her life to her death, speak her name hear her voice, sing her favorite song and visit the places she liked and stop for a bucket of chicken along the way. Because that´s who Mamma was, and how she can stay alive a little, right here with you.
We love you Mom!
And I know I didn´t shave my beard, but I had to get you one last time. And by the way I´ll shave it when I´m Good God Dang and Ready!
