Craig Bawdon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 17, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that the family of Craig Paul Bawdon announces his swift and peaceful passing on September 2, 2025, in Snoqualmie, Washington, at the age of 56, following complications from deep vein thrombosis.

Craig was born on November 17, 1968, in Portland, Oregon, to Paul and Lila (Franklin) Bawdon. He was raised in the Cedar Mill neighborhood and attended Sunset High School, finishing his education in 1987. Craig spent many years working in the fishing and automotive industries, where he was known for his warm customer connections, fun-loving spirit, and generous willingness to help others.

Beyond his work, Craig found joy in time with his children, grilling for family and friends, baking his signature breakfast pies, and seeking new adventures along the Oregon Coast. Those who knew him were often treated to one of his grilled creations. He loved walking the coastline in search of treasures and playing cards with friends while enjoying a medium rare steak and an excellent glass of cabernet. As his family grew, his greatest joy came from watching his children excel in martial arts, teaching them about cars, and sharing his gift for "fixing pretty much anything."

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Paul Duane Bawdon. He is survived by his children, Raleigh Paul and Ariana Elizabeth; his partner, Felicia Bawdon; his mother, Lila Bawdon; his siblings, David Bawdon, Michele Burke, and Lynne Sampson; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer McCartney, Danell Hille, Carissa Burke, and James Smith. He is also remembered with love by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and a wide circle of friends who fondly knew him as "just Craig."

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Hills Baptist Church, 2470 Roxbury Avenue, Portland, Oregon, 97225.

Craig's greatest legacy is his children. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor his memory may contribute to the educational funds for Raleigh and Ariana Bawdon:
