While I did not have the honor of knowing or serving with Mr. Hertsgaard, he is a navy and submarine brother. Thank you for your service to your country sir, and now at long last sailor you have eternal fair winds and following seas. Our condolences to his family.

Dear Hertsgaard Family,
I am so sorry to hear that Craig died and that Sylvia is gone too. What a loss for all of you! I remember him as a hard working, dedicated, and passionate person. He loved his family, Concordia College and many around him. You have all received a wonderful legacy from him and I'm sure you will miss him. I remember sitting in your home amongst the classy furniture and feeling so much at home. We mourn your loss.

Mary, Will miss your father as much as I miss your mother. Now they are together having coffee and pastries with Ruby and Virgil.
