In memory of
Craig Williams
February 2, 2019
His playing inspired me at 15 years old, and 42 years later you made me a better bass player.
From one Craig to another, know you made a difference brother.

My name is Tom Pollard. I hung out with Craig for a few years in Connecticut. The last time I saw him he was playing on stage with Swan at the Powder Ridge Festival, I ran into him on a hill and we talked.Bob Brockway , my friend and fellow bandmate was in in Georges Boys together. We jammed many times. He would always give me a ride home in his Volkswagen Bug from Bobs in Westbrook to Branford ( Short Beach)which was out of his way but he was glad to do it.Thats the kind of guy he was. We would listen to his car radio all the way.We shared a deep love for music. All these years I've always told everyone about him and what a great guy he was.I can't explain it but if you knew you know what I mean. I found out 4 days ago on Christmas and I'm trying to deal with it. I have major medical issues myself. In Craigs memory let us all strive to be better people and lend lend a helping hand To all living creatures with unconditional love and compassion. I am thankful, grateful and deeply honored to have known him.

Lisa, I'm so sorry for your loss of Craig. I got to know your family from dogsitting Whiskey for Beverly. I would occasionally see Craig when I worked at Lowe's. He was always so very kind, and would tell me about Collin's latest adventures. What a great guy he was!

Have a lot of unforgettable "times" w/Craig,going back to 4 yrs of learning to live on zero$ with the Swan band..attempting to not get "run-over" by possibly the best rhythm section I've ever seen, let alone played with.....to chasing "Roller Derby" games all over the Northeast whenever we could....to being the best musician in Foghat.Proud to have known him...will always be in my memories.

My dear Craig. You will be remembered for more than you know. You will be missed a great deal. One of my favorite memories was when I was about 8yrs old, I was at your house to visit with your Aunt Sara's son, Richard (my father) and my sister. Uncle Ken was playing piano and I was staring at him. You came in and asked me if I wanted to see something cool.
You opened your case and there was your bass. The next thing I know you gave me a picture of you performing with Swan. You told me you were gonna be big one day.
Oh boy were you! Larger than life.
I still have the picture. Fly high, Craig!

Craig was one of the really good people I have known in my life. We shared instruments, living quarters and various hilarious and amazing moments in CT and L.A. He will surely be missed by those who had the good fortune to know him.
