I'm so sad to hear Craig passed away! I just found out from one of the employees at Barry Sewall. I work in Northeast Mpls. and walk at lunchtime every day; that's how I met Craig. He use to be sitting out on the dock. At first we just said "Hello" but then pretty soon we got to talking every day. I would hurry on my walk just so I could catch him and chat. What a GREAT guy; he was so nice and easy to talk to. We became good friends! I was going to call him this summer, but my husband has been in and out of the hospital. I'm going to miss Craig alot. He was a wonderful special person. I will never forget him! He touched my heart! With my deepest sympathies to Craig's family, Carol Novicki

I was so sorry to hear of Craigs passing. I know he's in a better place but that does not help the loneliness the ones left behind feel. Please hold close to you the many happy memories of Craig dear to your heart and forever you see him smiling at you. All my sympathy to Craigs family and his friends

Dear Cheryl, I have been following the story of Craig's year long journey via emails from Jami. May we all face death with the same grace. Living in Texas, we have a tradition of country music. One of the recent songs has this refrain: " Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go now."
I know Craig is there now with all the uncles and aunts, Doug and Tony and Johnny, and Nana and Papa. They are seated at a big round table eating spaghetti and meatballs and homemade bread. Reading the earlier entries in the guest book it is clear that in spite of everything Craig had a wonderful life, just too short. God bless. Cousin Penny

You Ed and Lenny are once again together just like befor in NE Mpls, Buchanan and Broadway, Beltrami park, the good old days.

This poem reminded me of Craig. He was a kind gentle soul - and will be missed by all that knew him.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We were all meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay....
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.

My Memories go back to Marshall High School when Craig first came there.I had known him for years before I ever met my husband of 30 years (Lenny) and found out they were friends. Craig always had kind words and a smile on his face when I would see him. You will be truly missed but never forgotten. My Thoughts and Prayers go out to your family. With Love,

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy.

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of Craig. He will live on in the hearts of many.
