Mrs. Randall and family - I am sincerely sorry to learn of my long time friend and former mentor, Coach Craig Randall's passing, and offer my deepest sympathy for your loss! My family was in his recruiting area while he was at TEXAS A&M, and became quite close. I was a highly sought Basketball Player, and he "Coached" me often on how to handle those recruiters. Sadly, just before I signed to play for A&M, I lost touch with him after he left A&M, and therefore, missed probably the finest part of his life, the time after he met you! I will keep you and your family in my Prayers, and will regret not following through on at least one of the many urges to re-establish contact with him before he went to be with our Lord! God bless You ALL from the bottom of my heart!

Dear Kathryn and family - Our prayers and sympathy go to you after the passing of Coach Randall. Have great memories of him coming down the hall at Humphrey Coliseum with that cigar and MSU cap, and he was a great mentor and friend while we all were in MSU athletics...In sympathy, Joanne and Bo Carter, Carrollton, Texas

My prayers are with Mrs. Kathryn and the family of Coach Randall. From my first day working in Cardiac Rehab to my last, I made it my mission to make him smile and to give him just as hard of a time as he gave me. I loved that man. I loved that he always smelled of the cigars he would not quit smoking; I loved that you never had to wonder what he was thinking-he would make sure you knew! I loved that he would never ask for help, but would give me a wink when I did. Coach was one of the reasons I shed tears when I left in September-I was going to miss him. I am so thankful I went to Cardiac Rehab the Monday after my first 50 miler run in February-he was there to remind me how crazy I was and asked if I had lost my "cotton-pickin-mind". I love that when you asked how he was doing, his answer was ALWAYS, "fair to middlin", and he would be back, "If the Creek don't rise". I am honored that I was able to develop a friendship with him. I will miss him.
