Craig's cars were well known and Craig was legendary to us underclassmen. His old Chevy II was a beast. Rode to school a couple of times and by noon I'd quit shaking and by the end of the day I could hear again. He gave Bill Herrstrom and me his 68 Camaro for a night, why? I'll never know. That 67 Vette would scratch the tires on Boone main street at an idle as the cam rolled over and two trips of the strip it needed the road before overheating. And don't even start about his 750 Kaw widowmaker, he'd pull a wheelie at 70mph.. I popped the rear of my 63 Impala right in front of his shop. Best place in the world to learn to fix one! RIP Craig

Sorry to hear about Craig´s passing. Have fond memories of his Dad aka Mr. "Severshop" and as our driver´s ed instructor. Also Rich notes that Craig was a charter member of the UC "Luther Gang" which provided much entertainment during those high school years.

I've known Craig all my life since his dad was my driver's ed instructor and my junior high basketball coach. I was a year behind him at United Community. My heartfelt sympathies to his entire family, his mom, his brother, his sisters, his kids and grandkids.

To the Severson family, really sorry for your loss. I had a lot of good times in high school with Craig and down in the ol bus barn working on cars.
