Cuong Nguyen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 12, 2025.
Cuong Nguyen, age 62, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Born on December 25, 1962, outside the United States, Cuong's life journey was marked by resilience, compassion, and a deep commitment to his family and community.

A surviving Vietnamese refugee, Cuong overcame great adversity early in life. His experiences shaped a generous spirit and a profound empathy for others. He was known for being a loving and caring individual who consistently sought to help those in need. Whether offering guidance through meaningful life lessons or lending a helping hand, Cuong left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Cuong had many passions that brought him joy and fulfillment. He found peace in fishing and took great interest in natural home healing remedies and plants. Above all, he loved cooking-an art through which he expressed his creativity and shared his culture with others.

He is survived by the love of his life, Bounthavy; his five children-Joseph, Jamie, Sammy, Jimmy, and JJ; and his many grandchildren. His legacy lives on through them and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of compassion and love. A Prayer Service/Viewing will be held on June 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road. A Memorial Service/Cremation will be held on June 14, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 03:30 PM at Laurel Memorial Cemetery, 2301English Creek Ave. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025, at 05:00 PM at Home (address will be provided).
