Curtis Avant Obituary
Mr. Avant, 61, of Charlotte, died May 2, 2006 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was a native of Hamlet, NC.
Funeral service is 2 PM Thursday at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Belmont, with Reverend Sherman Branch officiating. Interment in Forst Lawn West Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Mr. Avant was a painter with The Huffstetler Group, and was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Avant; children, Tonya, Jan, Joe, Brenda, Kenny and Tonya; four brothers, Bruce, Dennis, Darrell and Wendall Avant; six grandchildren; and stepmother, Mary Avant.
