1927-2018
George William Showers Sr., 91, of Houston, TX, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 23, 2018. George was born September 9, 1927 in Houston to X.R. and Ora Bell Showers. He attended Stephen F. Austin High School where he excelled in athletics, including football, baseball and track, before graduating in 1946.
He is survived by his children, Suzanne Rush and husband Randy, George Showers Jr. and wife, Gloria; 9 grand children; 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by long time companion Fadra Mims Sharp and her extended family and friends.
