I miss you Boyd. You gave me purpose when we were both broken, and you will only know the rest of the story in heaven when we meet again. How I wish we could have been friends when you were the amazing horseman I read about! Let´s ride together in glory! Thank you for the laughs, the memories, our talks and for just letting me be me. I love you Boyd.

Running down the hill to visit the Hudgins, our neighbors in Gainesville, was a regular, favorite childhood activity for my brother and me. It was awe inspiring to watch Boyd in action, training and riding horses, and I loved going with Kathy, Richie, and Claire, to the stables and shows. We often admired Boyd's impressive winning ribbon collection, and listened carefully to his tips about riding their ponies Tony and Trigger. Love and warmest condolences to all.

Our family has great memories of spending time with Boyd and the entire Hudgins family. We lived very near them and my sister and I were at their house many times. They are a wonderful family. Our deepest sympathy is extended.

Boyd was my cousin..He was about 9 years older than I was..From about age 10 to 18 years old he thought he had another sister..I stayed at their home on Lakeview, especially the barn every chance I got..I loved horses and he was so patient with me..we used to ride over in the sherwood area back when there was not anything but woods, trails and streams..He was a great mentor to me and I will always be grateful for that..He even let me ride in a horse show in Gainesville a few times and I went with his family to many shows all over the Southeast..what great memories I have...Hell-o Pat..I hope you remember me, I remember you...God bless all of the family at this time..

I will always remember all I learned from Boyd about horses. He was surely and expert horseman. He was a fixture at local shows and national events. Always a showman. You are missed.

I remember wonderful moments with Tennessee Walking Horses and Boyd at the Georgia one day shows. It was a great compliment for me when he bought one of my horses for his Dad to ride. His legacy will be remembered by many.
