As a client of Curtis Jordan“s, immediately I knew that he was a man of integrity and had gained the respect of the courts. He was a honorable man and attorney.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your great loss.

Curtis (Butch) and I grew up together in the school system and Methodist Church in Sardis, MS. We played high school football together - he far more talented than I. We went in different directions during undergraduate and graduate school but were reunited when I moved to Guntersville, AL in 1977 and remained close to the end. We shared a lot, gave back and forth, but his greatest gift was the architecture of a legal strategy which brought my children, Mary, Mimi, and Cati, home to my custody at a time when they sorely needed rescue. I am certain GOD smiled on Butch then and I have thanked both the Almighty and my solid friend, Curtis Wilson Gordon, for that blessing ever since.

David and Jonathan, I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad. I found out when I ran into Jim and Betty Lynch at the store after the service. Your Dad, as you know, was a truly amazing Man and a great friend to so many. I include myself in that group fortunately. When we met in 1984 after moving in across the street from you guys and quickly became friends. Something I later realized was what a great person to know your Dad was. As he knew just about everyone. He promptly set about to introduce so many of his friends and contacts to me which was so helpful later when he came to me and convinced me to run for City Council. Had people donating to my campaign and setting up "neighborhood meetings" to introduce me to more folks. It worked and I was elected. After all he did to get me elected, in 8 years he was probably the only person I knew who never asked me to do a "favor" while on the Council.
He asked me to go on 10 or 11 fishing trips to Gulf Shores and always Captain Bobby Walkers boat "Summer Breeze" and the stories I could tell you on that I will save for a face to face meeting with you guys someday. Please feel free to contact me anytime should you need anything as I have a lot of favors to return because of your Dad and his influence in my life. Besides I would love to see your family and Jonathans now.
