I was a student at McNally Composite High School where Mr. Lund was principal, before being promoted. He inspired loyalty and affection from students and teachers. I remember well the standing ovation he received from the entire student body in the assembly called on his departure. That standing ovation, obviously rare for a principal of a high school from its students, reflects on his empathy, strength of character, and natural leadership abilities.

Sonja and Family: We are so sad to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you all at this most difficult time. Over the years of working with you Sonja and Curt as our McNally High Principal, we were privileged to know Curt as a caring and kind person always with best interest of his students at heart.

To Sonja and family
Like you all, I was shocked to hear of Curt's sudden collapse and subsequent demise. My memories of him go back to the summer I was 8 and we spent a couple months at the farm. That was a long time ago, but I treasure the rich experiences of a near lifetime of interaction, intermittent though it was. May God bless you all in these tough days.

Phyllis and I want to express our profound condolences to the family of Curtis. We were involved with Curtis in the field of education for many years. He continued to demontrate exerptise and compassion for those involved in education. He was a born leader and education is poorer by his passing.
