Cynda Borges

Dighton - Cynda M. (Perry) Borges, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at the hospital surrounded by family, on May 12, 2025. Born on October 4, 1962, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Cindy lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Cindy was the cherished wife of Joseph Borges, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Together they built a loving home and raised two children: Kyle Borges and his wife Samantha, and Kellie Borges. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren-Audrey, Emily Rose, and Luke-who brought light to her days and laughter to her heart.

Cindy was a beloved sister to Carol Perry and her wife Eileen, George Perry Jr. and his wife Doris, and Joseph Perry and his wife Christine. She was the thoughtful daughter-in-law of the late Maria and Manuel Borges of Fall River. She was the dear sister-in-law of Mary Lauzier and her husband, John, Eselda (Borges) Major, and Ernest R. Borges and his wife, Christine. She was predeceased by her parents, George Perry Sr. and Shirley (Travis) Perry, and nephew Brian. Cindy held a very special place in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Known affectionately as "Vavó" to her grandchildren and proudly declaring herself "the funny one," Cindy's wit and easygoing nature made her a joy to be around. Her kindness touched everyone she met-whether as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister, adoring aunt, supportive sister-in-law, or loyal friend.

For more than 40 years, Cindy enjoyed making others feel their best by following her passion as a hairstylist. She worked at salons and in private settings, giving her clients, friends, and family a boost by making them feel and look beautiful. She also worked at CVS as a Pharmacy Technician for over 20 years, having thoroughly enjoyed helping and connecting with people.

Cindy found happiness in life's simple pleasures: reading a good book, taking long walks, traveling, or gathering with family and friends for cookouts filled with laughter and love. She had a deep sense of civic duty and gave back to her community through volunteer work at local polling stations-always finding a meaningful way to contribute to the world around her.

Her legacy is one of love freely given, shared memories with those she held dear, and connections and values instilled in her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, May 31, 2025, starting at 08:00 AM at Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, followed by an 11:00 AM Mass at Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring Street, North Dighton.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Interment will be held privately.
