Cynthia Lynch Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 8, 2022.

Cynthia Ann Heard Lynch, of New Braunfels, was born January 29, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. Cindy left us to be with the Lord on October 27, 2022.  Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend.  Everyone she met became a lifelong friend. Cindy left behind her husband of 50 years, Gary Lynch; son, Nathan Lynch (Kourtney); grandchildren, Emerson and Summer; niece, Elizabeth Long (Ryan) of Broomfield, Colorado; her in-laws, Frank Lynch (Becky) of Greenville, South Carolina; Cheryl Union (Joe) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Deborah Weiss (Mike) of Waterloo, Illinois; and many more nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by special friends Xina, JJ, Jeannie, Sarah, Terry, and Alice, and Alice’s husband Terry, plus countless others.

Cindy graduated from Canyon High School in 1972 and while there, she was a member of Canyon High School Choir. After graduating, she married her best friend and soulmate, Gary Lynch.

Cindy worked as a secretary at New Braunfels Christian Church for two years and worked in the orthopedic field as an office manager and surgery coordinator for many more years. She made lifelong friends of her co-workers there. Cindy also owned her own successful medical billing business.

Cindy was the president of Family Outreach, enjoyed acting in eight productions at Circle Arts Theater, and “Into the Woods” was her favorite. Above all, she enjoyed the camaraderie of her director and castmates. Cindy volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and most recently joined what she called “The Latin Dance” at New Braunfels Westside Community Center. She absolutely loved all the ladies there and spoke with them often. Most memorably, Cindy enjoyed beach vacations in Saint Martin, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Puerto Vallarta, and her beach cottage, "The Snakehouse," in Rockport, Texas. Cindy was a dedicated fisherwomen and loved fishing on Aransas Bay with Gary, her son Nathan, and many friends.

Cindy was a devoted wife and mother, a loving and attentive friend, and never met a stranger. Her infectious enthusiasm for life warmed every heart she touched.

A memorial service will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
