Anita and Family,
I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. A most accomplished man who has left an enduring legacy.
My sincere condolences to the Leonoff family.

What an accomplished man! I knew Cyril and Faye through my parents Serge and Anne Vaisbord. Our families met in the early 1970s as members of the Arbutus Club, and became good friends thereafter. I came to know Cyril personally through our mutual interest in local history and heritage. My spouse Carole and I were so glad to have spoken with him very recently at a heritage event, still keenly interested in history and talking about research. He was a kind, caring, gentle, intelligent man and will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.

Early this morning, Saturday, April 16th, 2016, I went for my usual 1/2 hour exercise walk on the street where I live. While doing this, I had a thought about Cyril and an inclination to look him up on the internet. When I did, Cyril's obituary came up and it was as if we had made contact to say goodbye!

I was very sorry to find out about his passing. On August 3,2016, I will be 90 years of age. Cyril and I were in the same Engineering class at University of Manitoba and he and Faye were good friends over the years there.
