I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Alan, a kind and generous man. Tiffanys was the site of our rehearsal dinner, birthday parties, anniversary dinners, Christening dinners. My husband Jim, who worked for Alan as a waiter and bartender, passed away in September after a long battle with cancer. Jim always considered Tiffs part of our family, as did our children and I. My deepest condolences, and prayers are with you. Marikay Malley

I roomed with Potters for the year after the college was so nice to provide the ATOs with new living quarters in Heritage Hall. He was a really good guy and companion. He was always there for me to provide a friendly word or lighten the moment. And occasionally to have a beverage at Reid's while having some stimulating educational discussions.

I will miss him even though it has been years since we were in contact.

Sara, Alicia, and David,

I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your father. During this difficult time, may you know the true peace that God alone can give to help you cope (Philippians 4:6, 7).

From college days with barn parties, the Animal Formal & the Ledges the stories will remain in my fondest memories.
I shared a ski season in Manchester Vermont and for years sought Potter out when I traveled yearly for a golf tournament at Philadelphia Cricket Club. Dinner at the Saloon was rarely missed.
His contagious laugh and wit will always be remembered. Rest in peace ATO Brother. VTL
