St Peter and St Paul's Church, Warsop, was full with family and friends for the service which preceded cremation at Ollerton of Mr David Bryan Goodall (66), of Cuckney Hill, Church Warsop. A life-long resident of the area, Mr Goodall was born at Warsop and educated at Hetts Lane, Sherwood Street and Birklands schools in Warsop, and then went on to further education at West Nottinghamshire College.For 46 years, Mr Goodall worked as a self-employed design draughtsman and also for various companies, before going on to work for ASM, Chesterfield. He retired in 2011.He spent many years coaching badminton for U13 Notts County, Mansfield Junior Badminton Club and Edwinstowe Badminton Club, while his other interests included motorbikes and cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr Goodall, who died at his home, leaves his wife Mrs Jean Goodall, son Spencer, daughters Carolyne, Elizabeth and Kathryn, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Mourners were Mrs J. Donations in lieu of floral tributes were for Pancreatic Cancer UK, British Red Cross and Macmillan Cancer Care.The service was conducted by Rev A. Fletcher and arrangements were by G. A. Townroe & Son.
