On Thursday, April 9, 2009; son of Robin Mohrbach and Buddy Wright; brother of Buddy (Karen), Kasey (Ethan) and Kelly Wright; grandson of Neil Wright, Sr., Ginger and Edward Barrett, the late Edrie and Robert Mohrbach; nephew of Perry Wright, Kelly and Michael Peyton, Blase and Pam Barrett, Susie and Harry Ferson, Robert and Lisa Mohrbach, Mary Jo and A.J. Votedian; godson of the late Debbie Wright; also survived by his girls, Crystal and Vanessa; many cousins and friends, especially his best pal "Taz". Friends will be received at the JOHN D. O'CONNOR & SON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5106 Second Ave., Hazelwood, 412-521-8116 on Mon. 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. & Tues. 9 a.m. before Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stephen Parish, Hazelwood at 10 a.m.

Buddy,
I am so sorry to hear about DJ. Although I only knew him from the field, I will never forget all the times me and DJ had laughs during and after games ended. I know he will be missed by many.

Dear Robin, Buddy, Little Buddy, Kasey and Kelly,
You are in our thoughts and prayers everyday. Hold on to the memories of DJ and all of the happy times that he provided to all of you. The memories that Jim and I will always treasure is little DJ always with a smile on his face and hello and wave as he went up and down the street. DJ matured to a fine young man with that same smile and always asking "how are you doing".
DJ's time with all of us was not long enough, but he is now another guardian angel that we have by our side.
May God give you the strength to make it through each and everyday keeping DJ close to your heart.

Even though I haven't seen D.J. in possibly 5 years, The feeling of loss is still as great as if I would have seen him recently. He was always a happy person. I knew him from when he worked on 9North at Montifore hospital. At that time I was a student nurse and actually enjoyed going to my clinicals on that floor because I knew D.J. would be there and make me laugh all day. It definitely made our shifts go fast. My heart is saddened for the Wright family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them and D.J. will be missed deeply.

Tonight I said goodbye to an old grade school comrade. Life's journey is long and arduous and there are people that walk the same path...only for a while. That was DJ Wright. We were pals on and off the hardcourt during a time when the responsibilities were few and the pressures and anxieties stemmed only from the anticipation of the next sunny day. Today I am truly sad - sad for the family I knew most of my life. Rest in peace DJ and may God ease your family's pain.
