Erwin, Tenn. - Douglas Allan Windsor, 54, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at his home in Erwin.

Allan was born August 3, 1966 in Staunton, a son of Douglas MacArthur Windsor and Linda Campbell Windsor.

Allan was a US Army veteran. He received a bachelor's degree from Southern Wesleyan University and a master's degree from Liberty University. Allan was employed as a diesel mechanic by John Deere, and enjoyed fishing and hunting spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents of Waynesboro, survivors include his wife, Shelly Mae Mullenax Windsor; children Dakota Windsor (wife Jessica), Ethan Marotta, Evan Marotta and Issaac Marotta, all of Tennessee; Aaron Marotta (wife Kathleen) of North Carolina, Frank Perez, Jr., Tanya Stewart (husband Aaron) and Joshua Perez of Michigan; "daughter-in-law" April Marotta of Tennessee; grandchildren Parker, Mason, Reagen, Khloe, Liam, Silas, Ian, Trint, Tristan, Destiny, Domonic, Arionna, and Dayatra; sister Amy Snead and husband Michael of Waynesboro; nephews Ty and Ayden; and nieces Mackenzie and Tayler.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March19 in Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Monte Brenneman and Michael Snead. Pallbearers will be Dakota and Eddie Windsor, Joshua Perez, Ty Snead, Aaron, Ethan and Issaac Marotta, and Chad Campbell.

The family will receive friends from 5 -7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mask-wearing and social-distancing will be observed at all events in adherence to current COVID-19 guidelines.
