DEAR NELSON FAMILY; I WAS SURPRISED AND SADDENED TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM'S SUDDEN PASSING. I WORKED WITH YOUR MOM AT MATER DEI FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND SHE BECAME A COMFORTING FRIEND AFTER MY OWN MOTHER SUDDENLY PASSED AWAY. WE KEPT IN CONTACT EVERY CHRISTMAS, EXCHANGING CARDS AND PHONE CALLS. I WILL MISS HEARING HER VOICE AND REMINISCING ABOUT THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD WORKING TOGETHER. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL.

I was honored to have known such a lovely lady. Will miss her smile and her baked goods!

Debbie, Tommy, John, Ivan and David. You know your mother held a very special place in my heart. My memories of her will last forever. She was more than just an aunt to me...She was my friend, my confidant, and my life coach! She loved you all so much. You all made her proud in your own way. She was ready to be with her true love...Uncle Hurston. I know physically she is no longer here, but you all know she will forever be in our hearts. I will not mourn her death, but celebrate the birth of her eternal life she is now living. How happy and pain free she must be. This is just a temporary separation. Daisy is my sister, I miss her so much. We talked on the phone a lot.

My heart is heavy, but I have no doubt that Aunt Daisy has now walked Heaven's streets of gold wearing her crown. To her children and grandchildren, especially Matt, keep those memories of the sweetest woman I knew close to your heart. She was never judgmental and always shared that beautiful smile with everyone she knew. She will be sorely missed, never forgotten and forever loved! I remember Daisy being a wonderful mom to my friends and she is in a peiceful place now...
