In memory of
Harsha Murthy

I still feel the loss of Dale. There are moments (weekly if not daily) in my life, even since the time of his memorial service, when the lessons (personal, spiritual and professional) that he taught me flood back into my mind and give me guidance and strength. His legacy in each of our lives remains great. I send my love to Carolyn and the entire Hogue family. I know how much more they must miss him. I met Dale through coincidence, but I believe there was something divine and completely intentional that brought him into my live. For that, I will be forever grateful. - Harsha Murthy

A gentleman and a scholar, but most importantly a warm and caring human who was always there with a smile and empathy.

Getting an education about patents, and receiving a copy of his book. Then there were the phone calls and meetings: he was an excellent mentor.

Dale is the only one of my best American friends that I have ever kept in contact all of these years, no matter I run my own business or worked in firms as an associate and have retired. I don't believe he has left us!
He is kind, friendly, and humorous. I still remember some years ago on the way to the Great Wall, his humorous stories came up incessantly which made me laugh the whole day. He is also an experienced and knowledgeable patent attorney and teacher. Once I made a presentation at a conference, he taught me a lot as to how to choose the right English words and even the gestures of hands. And without his kind help, I would not be able to print out my first English pamphlet on patent litigation. He is both a friend and a teacher of mine.
May he rest in peace! I will miss him.

I had the great pleasure of knowing and working with Dale for well over a quarter of a century. He was a wonderful friend, an Air Force comrade-in-arms, a brilliant lawyer, a superb teacher, and an ardent patriot who among his many accomplishments contributed significantly to advancing nationally important technology. He has slipped the surly bonds of earth and I am sure is now touching the hand of God. May he rest in peace!

I first met Dale when he joined Coudert Brothers where I was an associate and patent attorney. Dale was always very kind and as years went by we kept in touch. Dale was a friend and someone who always tried to help me with my career. I will miss him and the positive influence he had on me.
