To Val, Cam, Jason and all Dale's family, our thoughts have been with you all year and as the time went by we were wondering how you all were coping. We will always keep him close in our hearts. Take care.

To Dale and family,

You were such a kind soul. I enjoyed our long talks on the phone about life and work... while we should of both been working. I am happy I was able to meet you in person when you came down to New Brunswick to meet with myself, Jon and Dan. Jon and I still have the beer glass you mailed to us for Christmas and will forever think of you when we use it. Rest peacefully.

We are thinking of you Val and family during such a difficult time. Dale was an amazing neighbor and an important part of our lives, as kids growing up on Church Drive. He was always there as a role model and made time to chat with our family. I know my brother Stephen, Daniel and I have many wonderful memories.

I knew Dale through work and in the last few years we chatted at length on the phone. He regaled with great many stories of teenage years, marriage and children. He was proud of every moment which was met with laughter and no regret. He talked of his boys with love knowing they turned into great men and was surprised he had something to do with that. He often mentioned his adventures, but at the end of that was always, Val, was a saint for putting up with me. She is my rock, Tam. She is my gem, She is the best,' Dale would always sigh after, and I often wondered what possibly was her side of his misadventures...
Now Paula, the two of you stole my shoe after a golf game! Honestly though, Dale spoke of you in highest regard. He entrusted a very fine lady in the helm. I know it must have been difficult during some of those tough Rider losses, but we were all in a Rider-Loss funk. Forgive us.
Please accept my story of Dale, as we all have great stories of a man who became instant friends with you after meeting you for 20 minutes. I will be unable to attend the celebration of his life. To that please raise a glass for me ...

It was an honour to work with Dale - his enthusiasm for people and just about anything else was infectious. Ever optimistic, he never gave up on people and wanted to hear what they were all about. He could find the funny in just about anything, and he had a great laugh! He had the gift of the common touch, and he made an impact on all he met. Such a big personality leaves a big space when they are gone, and the world will be a little less for the leaving of him. My sincerest and deepest sympathies to all who had the pleasure to know him.

Exceptional life he lived! Val, and to all who loved and cared so much for Dale, may his life and memories you shared with him comforts you and bring sweet smiles in your hearts! May God's loving, peaceful and comforting arms be wrapped around you all now and for always. And may God make this journey keep the love and bond you all share deeper and stronger.

Val and family. We are devastated to hear of this. Words cannot express our sympathy for you. He was such a great guy. Between our Trivial Pursuit nights, block parties, coffee on the lawn....memories go on and on. We won't be able to attend the service as we will be away. Hopefully we can get together later.
