I´ve known Dale, a mentor and friend since my time at AIG Asia when he visited and we lost touch till last few years. I´m glad I saw him in SF during my brief stop there in May. His passing shucked me. He spoke a lot of his family especially his girls and grand kids. I will surely miss him.

My condolences to the family. Dale was a lady´s man who sure loved his women on the side back in the days!

I had the pleasure of knowing Dale for several decades. In the last few years we rekindled our friendship and enjoyed getting together with mutual friends to discuss politics, current events and the state of humanity. I gained meaning insights from Dale and always appreciated his viewpoint, whether shared or not. I will miss him.

Dale´s father, Ray, was a brother of my grandfather, Winslow. His father, the youngest of the 6. I once lived on some of the old Walker property, and on a trip home, in NC, he came out, and one story he had that day was walking? hiking? from his home in High Point to that area in Randolph County, NC...Most wonderful visit with him and some other relatives who still live in the area.

I will forever remember the courtesy, honesty and thoughtfulness your father exhibited to me and the clear-eyed bravery with which he confronted his own death. He was such a pleasure to talk to, so incredibly smart and so principled. His primary concern was for the continued well being of everyone he loved and he did everything possible to make sure his wife, daughters and family all flourished in his absence. I am grateful for his tutelage in how to be a class act. And I am so sorry for his loss, but I know you will carry the best of him and his impressive legacy into the future with all he taught you. Big hugs to all he left behind.

What an amazing obit, not knowing your father, but now I feel I do, your Dad would be proud of his "girls".
My condolences to you all.

I haven't seen Dale in many years, yet as a fellow classmate at High Point High School class of 1961 his passing leaves an empty spot in my soul. I wish we could have stayed in touch. My condolences to his family and friends.
