NORTH RIM GRAND CANYON 2025
Pat Bowman
July 14, 2025
Terry and I had the pleasure of meeting Dale on our trip out west. We first met him on our tour of Monument Valley. We then reconected the next day at the Grand Canyon. We had drinks overlooking the canyon, then dinner in the lodge. Dale was going to try to meet us in New Hampshire on the July 4th weekend. It was a pleasure to have met him—our condolences on his passing.

I´ve know Dale for much of my life as he was my closest Webb cousin. Dale was four years younger than me, but we always had wonderful times together, both as kids and as adults.
When Dale was in Oshkosh last, we went out on the town and then he came back to my house and we had a nightcap at my basement bar. Then he slept over and I got up in the morning to see him off as he got on his bike to head home.
I will miss him greatly and will always remember his friendship and the love I could feel from him. Rest in peace Dale, I love you and will miss you. Thank you for you.

I met Dale at UW-Eau Claire and he became a brother to me. We both worked for same department and became roommates for a year. Two very different people who became good friends. My favorite memory was when he made spaghetti for my Mom and Dad not long after he moved in. They became friends too.
We always stayed in touch and I would follow his adventures on his blog. My dear friend, you will be missed.
So sorry for your loss and my condolences to Shelly, Don, Doug, Deanna and Deb. May he be riding with the clouds. Rest in peace Dale.

Shelly and the Webb Family
I've known Dale since I started curling in the mid nineties, but only recently started to get to "Really Know" Dale . This past year on different occasions Dale would have me "Sub" on Wednesdays and of course the "Post Draw" conversations over beers. I was looking forward to this coming season. My condolences, Rest in Peace Dale.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I knew Dale in college and called him Pup. We had lots of fun working together. I´ve only seen him a few times since graduation but we always maintained our bond and picked up where we left off. Wishing my Pup a happy heavenly ride.

Dale was part of a group of friends from Central WI & the Twin Cities. This group are all about the same age so most of our stories are similar. Dale is part of many memories, either primary or participate, that we created along the way. We miss having him around. I'm hoping Dale is now enjoying that endless bike ride in heaven.

Sincerest condolences to Shelly and all of Dale´s family. I was fortunate to curl with Dale in league on two different teams for over twenty years. Many bonspiels too. He was a great friend to many and loved by all who knew him. I´m deeply saddened that we have lost such a wonderful man. May he rest in peace.

The last time I saw my cousin Dale was at our Aunt Rita and Uncle Mike's 50 anniversary party in Durand in October 2024. Our moms were sisters and the best of friends writing letters weekly as we lived in Mondovi and the Webbs lived in Colby. Dale's sister Deanna were four days apart and took on that same writing letter tradition. Dale was always friendly. He and I were both the oldest in our family and I saw the same traits in him as I did in myself. Its sad that we will not see him again here on earth. I beleive the God has everything in Heaven to make his guest comfortable and happy. For Dale that means motorcycles and ice. My condolences to Don, Deanna,Doug and Debbie. You're lost a great brother! I pray that after the tears fall that you can laugh about all the good times that you had with him. No one can ever take them away.

Shelley and family of Dale,
He was surely loved by many! Merlin fondly remembers many of the bonspiels they competed in over the years. The wins and some of the losses. We'll remember Tom and Jerry's at the curling club which Dale coordinated every year. Rachel was given the honors of cutting his beard one night at the club. Being at the club with persons like Dale, makes it feel a lot like gathering with family at home.
He was a kind and gracious person. He will be missed by us.
