The much-loved dad of Olivia, Annie, Tash and Kat, husband of Angela, dear son
and brother.
Due to present circumstances, a PRIVATE service will take place at St. Helen's Church, Waddington followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Damian, if so desired, may be given for CALM and may be given to a family member.

I worked for Damian when he took over the practice from Bill Hamer in 1989. I remained at the practice and left when I had my son Oliver in 1999. I loved working at 1 Bacup Rd and also remained a patient of Damian's. My children were never frightened to go to the dentist as Damian was just so gentle. The Rossendale Valley has lost someone very special. I always looked forward to my 6 monthly appointments just for a chat and catch up!
I'm going to miss you Damian and my heart goes out to your lovely daughters, family and friends may you rest in peace.

We have only just heard the news about the recent passing of Damian. We send a prayer for Damian and our condolences to the family . Our son Simon who now has his own dental practice with his wife in Nottingham spent time at the surgery observing the skills required to be a dentist .

I have been a a patient at the Surgery since I was a child and Mr Hamer was the Dentist. Damian later took over and provided a professional, friendly and excellent service.

I shared many giggles with Damian over the years. He took away my life long fear of dentists with his gentle touch and wonderful sense of humour. I heard about Damian passing, he was my dentist for over 20 years. He was a fantastic dentist. He was a very hardworking and went out his way to give the best care for his client. We were both truly shocked and saddened to hear of Damien's passing.
He was such a wonderful dentist, I only saw him a week before he passed away, I am so shocked. He remembered the last time I was in and that I was getting married, so he asked how married life has been treating me! What a kind and caring man.

There are no words to express the sadness we feel about the passing of Damian. As many people here, Damian was our dentist and had been for many years. It wouldn't be appropriate to call him a friend as we only saw him every six months, but he always chatted about his family, who he obviously loved dearly, and about us and what we were up to. It was like we were picking up the same conversation every time we saw him. We shall miss him very much and our thoughts and love go out to you all.

No words can express how saddened we are to learn of Damien's passing. As a family we have known him formerly as our dentist for over 30years and latterly more as a friend as our daughters were in the same class together at school.

I have such great memories of the 10 years I worked alongside Damian. We had some hilarious Christmas parties. Then when I left due to moving away from the area I continued as a patient.
