To the Damond Farar Family: I am writing because we feel very sorry for your loss. with each experience in life we can ask ourselves what does God want me to learn from this and for me it is to be grateful for each hour we have here on earth with our loved ones, and maybe the camera does need to come out more often. God Bless you.

Dear Farar Family. Though years and miles apart, my admiration for your family continues to grow. Thank you for what you taught me so long ago. I am grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and faith in God taught to me by a young bishop. Your loss aches within me and I wish for your peace and comfort.

I remember how I always wanted him on my team when we played basketball. He was not someone you wanted to have to keep up with or try and guard. He loved his kids and his wife with a great passion. I loved how he and Adriana could jest with each other about things. I also loved how much time he would spend loving and caring for his boys. Whenever Damond and Family would come over for dinner you would always find him washing the dishes by hand afterwards no matter how forcefully you would tell him to stop. Always the good servant. Love you brother.

Damond was such a remarkable person. He was a leader to the young men in the Arcadia Ward in the first few years after he and Adriana were married. That group of young men included my son, Sean. Sean loved Damond, because Damond loved him. The Sunday before Damond passed away, he and Adriana and their sons visited in the Arcadia Ward. Damond and Sean sought each other out, renewing that bond of love Damond had established years before. That will be my lasting remembrance of Damond, hugging my son Sean and sharing love with him, brother to brother. I am inspired by that memory and will emulate Damond in my own life, for the rest of my life.
Adriana--Their are no adequate words to convey the love you have from the Jarvis family. We will sustain that love in the years ahead. We know of your strong faith and your great heart and we know that the unspeakable love of God will enfold you and bear you up. But our hands are intended also to convey God's love to you, and we extend our hands, our arms, our hearts to you and your fine young sons, Thomas, Alex, and Jacob.

Our family sat with Damon and Adriana at the IUSM Gold Humanism Honor Society induction ceremony this past October. It was a treat to meet and visit with them. Our hearts dropped when we heard the news of Damond's passing. The earthly world lost a bright man of medicine and heaven gained a compassionate soul. Psalm 46:1-2

I met and worked with Damond in September of 2012 when we worked in the ICU together. I also had the great pleasure of interviewing him for a spot in the transitional year program at our hospital. His smile and willingness to help others any way he could were such an encouragement during the long hours in the ICU. Talking with him, it was also clear he loved being a husband and father, and was a great role model for men in the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Damon you will be missed by your friends at the hotel. I will never forget the great times we had working together and talking about ASU football. I still laugh at the races we had at the hotel; you running up 12 flights of stairs while I rode the elevator. I always won but you never gave up trying to beat me. I am happy that we were coworkers and friends. You will be missed my friend.

May your faith and many wonderful memories see you through your sadness. I remember a sweet young man and excellent student; his demeanor was always that of one grown beyond his years. It was an honor to have known and taught your children - all a testimony to the love and devotion of their parents.

The Turney family is praying for you at this time of grief. Damond was an example to all of the type of life we should all strive to live. I will always remember the way he interacted with the nursery kids, many who would only go in if he was there! He showed his love for the gospel and for his family in everything he did. I know he will continue showing that love for above!

I had the great pleasure of coaching Damond in football his senior year. On the football field he was one of the hardest working young man that I have ever coached. He alway had a positive attitude and always came to work. I have coached a few more seasons of football since I last coached him and he is the one player who I have compared all of the rest of my players to. As a coach and teacher you are blessed to come across certain people who have touched you and who you will remember for ever and Damond was this person. I'm am deeply saddened by this news and send my deepest condolences to the Farar family.
