Daniel Ray Brunell, 53, of Sand Springs, Okla., formerly of Brooklyn, Iowa, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 20, 2007. Services will be 1 pm Wed. April 25, 2007 at the Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. Creston. Pastor Churck Spindler will officiate. Graveside committal will be 1 pm Thurs. Daniel R Brunell, son of Shirley and Donald Brunell, was born on Jan. 22, 1954 in Liberal, Kansas. He graduated from BGM High School in Brooklyn, Iowa in 1972. He lived most of his adult life in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Survivors include his parents, Donald and Shirley Brunell of Creston; a brother, Douglas, wife Joan Brunell, their children Aaron, Ashley, Crista, and Austin Brunell, all of Creston; a sister, Dawn and her husband Dan O'Flinn, their children Mandie, Hilary, and Brandon O'Flinn, all of Broken Arrow, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife VaLou Ann (Graham) Brunell of Brooklyn, Iowa.
